Hey party people! Okay...so after a little back and forth, I decided to post my first "for sale" activity on Teachers Pay Teachers. Let me give you a little back story...
During my first year teaching, I realized my kids were having a hard time "getting" digraphs. I tried a lot of different things, but nothing really seemed to stick. Knowing that most of my babies were visual learners, I decided they needed something more concrete & hands-on to really help them grasp the concept. My creative wheels started spinning and soon the "digraph kids" were born. I've been using this little teaching tool for the last 9 years and my kids LOVE it...and they really do get it pretty quickly!
I originally drew ALL of the pictures and the clip art for this activity, but after 9 years of serious use, those things have HAD it! I recreated them in digital form and now they're available on TpT :) The packet includes 4 digraph kids {-sh, -ch, -th, -wh} and stories to accompany each. Picture & word cards, sorting mats, and recording sheets are also included.
I'd love to give one...or two ;)...away for you to use in your classroom!
If you're interested, leave a comment telling me about any cool things you do to teach digraphs in your classroom.
I'll randomly select a winner tomorrow!!
Happy Wednesday!
